1/2 Way Gone!
AHH!!! My time here is 1/2 way gone and I'm sad to think of leaving. My apple pie came out pretty good! I've promised to make another before we leave because not everyone got to taste it. Yesterday's BBQ was great! We improvised Enchiladas, antipasta, guacamole (the avocados here are amazing!, hot dogs, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and mac and cheese. We played volleyball and the dance group Heals came to perform traditional dances for the high schoolers! It was a pretty great day! I've got to run now, my time has slipped away from me and we are eating dinner at the Acholi Inn tonight with the high schoolers from America. Love you all! Aber Jolene

Um... where does one get hot dogs in Uganda... and what are they made of? This is vital information people!
I went by a big stand of crocs this weekend and thought of you. wearing ugly ass shoes. And I smiled. Then I snickered a little. Please take lots of pictures with you and said crocs... also other people's crocs too as I would like to see them in a collective social setting.

Yes, you make an awesome apple pie! Guess what they have crocs in Ga. Thanks for all of the links lots of pictures and info. That's great a little Jo will be running around Africa! Sorry that your time is flying by. Dad and I are going to MLK site today, it looks great on the internet. We camped at a lake in S. Carolina this weekend, rented a boat and went tubing. The lake was as big or bigger than Lake Mead. Lots of trees,birds,deer and red clay. Oh and lots of ants. Also fish love to bite your sister! How are the bugs there? Looks like you are surviving the sun. You don't look red at all in your pictures. Take care Love Mom
